Children do not just magically have smooth, plump, and soft skin. Our skin does a great job of producing organic substances that keeps it so. These complex and tiny organic compounds keep our skin elastic, fight off pathogens, and keep it healthy.

However, as we age, the capacity of our skin to make these compounds reduces. This slowly results in wrinkles, fine lines, and dull skin. Additionally, the stressful lives we live today makes things worse!

Since Korean Anti-ageing products are so good at what they do, we tried finding out what are the common ingredients in these Korean products. Here are the ingredients we found:

1. Antioxidants

Vitamins A, C, and E are antioxidants. Usually, Korean products would have extracts of fruits rich in these antioxidants such as jojoba, cranberries, red grapes, etc. Antioxidants protect skin by fighting the free radicals that damage your skin. The result is reduced pigmentation and wrinkles

2. Ginseng

Ginseng is named as the “root of immortality” and rightly so. Ginseng comes from a plant and has an amazing complex of minerals like polysaccharides and glycoproteins that make fine lines disappear. In addition, it is also rich in Vitamin B1, B2, and B12 which give your skin a glow and make it healthy. It also improves circulation and oxygenation in the skills which maintain skin health.

3. Snail Mucin

Snail Mucin does a great job at sealing the moisture inside the skin. It helps skin maintain its self-healing properties. It is a game-changer in improving skin texture and quality. It also stimulates the production of elastin and collagen, which play a key role in keeping your skin look young.

What Korean Anti-ageing products do not have.

Retinol

Retinol is a rather debated ingredient in skincare products. It is because it is so powerful and also aggressive. What retinol does is boost the collagen production in the skin. This makes the skin plump and as a result, also removes wrinkles. However, it can also make the topmost layer of your skin flaky. This is the reason many Korean anti-aging products will not have it in the ingredients.

Instead, Korean beauty products focus on natural and gentle ways to keep skin healthy.
