How to Use Papaya for Skin Whitening

Papaya is one of the most effective treatments for minor skin problems, and can do wonders for the skin. Papaya contains enzyme papain, which lightens the skin and reduces pigmentation. The beta carotene fights free radicals and reduces wrinkles. Here are the ways on using papaya for skin whitening.

Papaya Alone

Smash a few pieces of papaya in a fine paste and apply over the skin. Let it rest for 15 minutes, then rinse it with water. Follow this 2 – 3 times a week.

Papaya with honey

Mix 1 cup of chopped papaya pieces in a fine paste. Add 1 tablespoon of honey and mix well. Wash your skin and paste. Let it rest for 15 minutes and rinse it with water. You can also add 1 tablespoon of aloe vera gel or lemon juice to the mixture.

Papaya with milk

Mix 1 cup of papaya with 3 tablespoons of milk and apply over the skin Let it rest for 20 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water. Or use curds instead of milk. Repeat 2 to 3 times a day.
