Dry hair comes when hair are not properly hydrated or lack the vitamins in important minerals. This can happen due to the different lesions that the hair suffer daily, such as exposure to the sun, use of the flat iron or washing the hair with very hot water.

These masks are a great way to restore hydration, glow and vitality of the hair.

  1. Carrot and avocado oil

An excellent homemade mask for dry hair is one made with avocado and carrot oil, mixed with egg and yogurt, as these are ingredients that give a new shine to the hair, softening and revitalizing.


4 drops of carrot oil;

1 tablespoon avocado oil;

1 egg yolk;

3 tablespoons of plain yogurt.

Method of preparation:

Put all ingredients in a blender and beat until smooth. Then wash your hair with shampoo and apply the mask, letting it act for about 15 minutes.

Finally, rinse the hair alternating between warm water and cold water, but ending with cold water to give more shine.

  1. Milk and honey

Another two ingredients that help moisturize dry hair are milk and honey. That’s because, milk contains fat that helps make hair more hydrated and supple, while it also contains lactic acid, which removes dead cells and increases brightness.

Honey, is known as a humectant, which absorbs and binds moisture, maintaining hydration for longer.


½ cup whole milk;

1 teaspoon of honey.

Method of preparation

Put the milk in a pan and heat slightly. Then add the honey slowly and stir well until well blended. Finally, let cool and place the mixture in a spray bottle.

Spray on the hair and scalp, put on a cap and let it act for 20 to 30 minutes. Finally, rinse the hair and wash with a shampoo.

  1. Banana and milk

This is a great mascara because it is made with banana, a fruit that has excellent vitamins and minerals capable of deeply moisturizing hair strands, also promoting hair shine. To this mixture, the honey may also be added, to obtain a longer duration of hydration.


1 well mature banana;

1 little milk.

Method of preparation

Put the ingredients in the blender with enough milk to get a half liquid mixture but still thick enough to stick to the hair. Beat the ingredients and then apply throughout the hair and scalp. Put on a cap and let stand for 20 minutes.

Finally, wash your hair using warm water and a shampoo for dry hair.
