Kaolin face mask
Kaolin or white clay is a natural product, which is usually offered in powder form. Kaolin absorbs excess skin oil like a sponge and is therefore good for clearing oily and impure skin. In this ayurvedic influenced mask recipe it gets a fragrant connection with sandalwood and rose water.
2 tablespoons of fine oatmeal
2 teaspoons of goat’s milk powder
1 tablespoon of kaolin
1 teaspoon powder of rose petals
1 teaspoon sandalwood powder
2 drops of rose water
Mix all the dry ingredients in a screw jar. Mix half of it with a teaspoon of warm water and a drop of rose water. This creates a fragrant paste.
Apply the paste to the cleansed face with your fingers. After 15 to 20 minutes, the mask will dry and can be removed with a damp towel or paper-cloth.
Fruity facial mask with strawberries
Strawberries taste delicious. Our skin loves them too! Because the red fruits contain tannins, which have an astringent effect, ie contract the pores. Especially oily skin benefits from this effect. In addition, flavonoids are present in strawberries. These plant active ingredients counter-act premature skin aging.
5 fresh, medium-sized strawberries
1 teaspoon cream or yogurt
2 teaspoons of honey
Crush the strawberries in a small bowl with a fork. Then add the honey and the cream (for dry skin) or yogurt (for oily skin). Mix the whole with the fork until all ingredients are well mixed.
Apply the mask to the face with your fingers or a clean, disinfected brush. Saves the eye area. After ten to fifteen minutes you can wash the mask with lukewarm water.
